LENOIR CITY, Tenn. — Just a few months ago, on June 20, a total of eight shots went off inside a Lenoir City Walmart.
Police said they responded expecting to find a mass casualty event. But when they arrived, they found no serious injuries. The two suspects got away from the scene before police got there.
After reviewing security footage from that store, police found that the two men were trying to rob the store. The suspects made it hard for police to identify them because they were wearing masks. But, LCPD said officers were able to figure out who they were by their car.
They identified the suspects as Fredrika Johnson and Joshua Raby.
"About six days after the shooting we figured out the car and the people, but they weren't from here. They were from Louisiana," said Don White, the Lenoir City Police Chief.
They were traveling in a mobile home that authorities traced back to Baton Rouge. Police reached out to the city and learned that the two were back in Louisiana.
"The cooperation that went into this case and to be able to get them arrested and brought back to face these charges is just amazing," said White.
The two are both facing aggravated robbery charges and have their bonds set for $100,000.
