Laurel County, KY officials looking for 2 suspects after bullet hits passing car on US 25

Deputies said one of the men fired shots at the other, missing him. One of those rounds hit a Jeep traveling on Highway 25 in the driver-side rear door.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The Laurel County Sheriff's Department is searching for two men who were reportedly shooting each other in a business parking lot Sunday morning.

Deputies said the shooting happened around 10:36 a.m. They learned that the two men, reportedly cousins, encountered each other in the parking lot off U.S. 25 approximately 1 mile north of London.

One of the men allegedly fired two shots at the other, missing him. Those bullets went through a car window that was parked in the lot. LCSD also said one of those rounds hit a Jeep traveling on U.S. 25 in the driver-side rear door.

No injuries were reported.

The two men fled the scene before deputies arrived.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
