KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An 18-year-old and a 23-year-old man are facing charges after Knoxville Police found firearms in a car during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning, according to KPD.
At around 12:20 a.m., KPD said officers stopped a car after witnessing a traffic violation at the intersection of Kenner Avenue and McConnell Street.
While searching the car, they found three loaded firearms, including an assault-style rifle and over $2,500 from suspected drug sales.
The 18-year-old was charged with weapon and drug charges, while the 23-year-old was charged with convicted felon in possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, KPD said.
