KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (11/9): The identity of the suspect involved in Wednesday night's barricade on East Walnut Grove Road has been identified, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
34-year-old Justin Hylton was wanted on outstanding warrants for two counts of criminal simulation and felony theft, KPD said.
They said a loaded firearm was recovered after Hylton was taken into custody.
According to officials, Hylton was meeting the victim to buy a Mercedes Benz. The victim said that after he left with the car, she noticed that the bills were marked as movie prop money, totaling $6,500.
KPD said Hylton made the transaction with the intent to defraud, harm and deprive the victim of her property.
