KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department said Wednesday a man who was wanted after a shooting on Jan. 22 in Knoxville was arrested in Detroit.
They said Torrance Jones was wanted on several warrants, including attempted second-degree murder from the Jan. 22 shooting. KPD also previously said he was wanted on charges of domestic assault and robbery.
They said he is expected to be extradited back to Knoxville soon.
The victim of the Jan. 22 shooting was found with a gunshot wound to the lower and was taken to a hospital. KPD previously said the victim was also facing charges, saying he had a stolen firearm on him when he was found.
Editor's Note: This story was corrected to reflect Jones was wanted for attempted murder, not murder.
