Knoxville man faces prison in child exploitation conviction

A Knoxville man will spend eight years in prison after being convicted on charges of sexual exploitation of a child.

The Knoxville Police Department arrested Joshua D. Lesler in October 2014 on a 46-count indictment.

According to KPD, an investigation involving the KPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force found Lesler in possession of 357 pictures and 43 videos "of prepubescent children and infants being raped."

Knox County Criminal Court Judge Bob McGee imposed sentence Thursday.

As is standard procedure, Lesler will be put on the state's sex offender registry.
