KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is facing several child sex crime charges after an investigation involving two law enforcement agencies states apart, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
It said it investigated Weston Stills with help from the Missoula Police Department in Montana, following an online tip. Authorities said the investigation lasted nine months and resulted in Stills being indicted on a total of 13 child sex crime charges.
After authorities searched Stills' home in March, authorities said they also collected evidence that led to them identifying five survivors located in Ohio, Montana and Knox County. He is being held in a Knoxville detention center.
Stills was indicted Thursday by a Knox County grand jury on five counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
