(WBIR - South Knox County) An argument between two neighbors led to a fatal shooting Tuesday night, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to 8108 Pickens Gap in South Knox County and found Jeffrey James Morrison, 37, with multiple gunshot wounds. Rural Metro took him to U.T. Medical Center. Doctors there pronounced him dead.
Investigators said it appears Joseph Adam White, 21, who lives at the address where the fatal shooting occurred, shot Morrison after a dispute between the two men escalated from a verbal altercation.
White has been charged with Second Degree Murder and is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $300,000 bond. KCSO said he has a criminal history including aggravated assaulted, several traffic violations, public intoxication, violation of order of protection, failure to appear, and failure to obey court orders.
