A Knox County inmate is facing more charges after he tried to escape jail twice in one week!

The first incident happened earlier this month.

Court documents show Travis Hux, 22, ripped off the ID picture of another inmate and put it over his own ID photo. The other inmate, 62-year-old Donnie Bridges, was set to be released on bond. Deputies say Hux signed several documents with Bridges' name, including bonded arraignment forms. Officers discovered the mistake before Hux was released.

Five days later, deputies say Hux tried to escape while officers transported him back to jail from a court hearing. Officers heard chains rattling outside the van and found Hux trying to hide behind a trash can.

Hux was in jail on theft and aggravated burglary charges. He's now charged with criminal impersonation, criminal trespass and attempted escape as well.
