The search continues for Joseph A. Couch, the man accused of shooting 12 vehicles and seriously injuring five people on I-75 in southeastern Kentucky on Saturday.

On Tuesday, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office announced the reward increased to $35,000, according to LCSO.

The shooting happened near exit 49 on I-75 in Laurel County. Law enforcement believes Couch is still nearby, but says the search is difficult since it involves scouring through thousands of acres in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Arrest warrants also show Couch has been charged with 5 counts of attempted murder and 5 counts of first-degree assault. It's believed he acted alone, according to authorities.

It was previously reported that Couch served in the National Guard, but the City of London mayor clarified that he served in the Army Reserve. Officials do say Couch suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
