I-75 Shooting in Kentucky: A timeline of the events and what we know

Multiple Kentucky school districts have canceled classes for a second day as the manhunt for Joseph Couch continues.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A massive search for a man accused of shooting 12 vehicles and seriously injuring five people on I-75 in Kentucky has entered day four.

Joseph Couch, a 32-year-old from Woodbine, has been identified as a suspect. Arrest warrants show he's been charged with 5 counts of attempted murder and 5 counts of first-degree assault. It's believed he acted alone, according to authorities.

The shooting happened near exit 49 on I-75 in Laurel County. Law enforcement believes Couch is still nearby, but say the search is difficult since it involves scouring through thousands of acres in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

It was previously reported that Couch served in the National Guard, but the City of London mayor clarified that he served in the Army Reserve. Officials do say Couch suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
