TELLICO PLAINS, Tenn. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said its deputies arrested a fugitive wanted in Indiana on Monday after tracking him down to a cabin in Tellico Plains.
According to Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones, MCSO deputies and Tellico Plains Police Department officers staked out a cabin in Tellico Plains on Feb. 12 around 8 p.m. where a suspected fugitive from Indiana was staying. Officers said they found the suspect's car outside the cabin.
Jones said the man, identified in arrest records as 67-year-old James William Solliday Jr., was taken into custody after officers surrounded the cabin.
Jones said Solliday was wanted for dealing methamphetamine and other charges out of Indiana. Solliday is now facing new charges in Tennessee and is accused of being a fugitive from justice.
According to the Noble County Sheriff's Department in Albion, Indiana, Solliday had warrants out for his arrest for failing to appear in court for charges including dealing methamphetamine, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
