HANCOCK COUNTY, Tenn. — A Hancock County man was arrested Sunday morning in connection to a murder, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
TBI agents worked with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office to investigate that murder.
Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, HCSO deputies responded to a call about a dead body in the 500 block of Possum Trott Road in Kyles Ford.
When they got to the scene, they found 50-year-old Jared Metcalf's body near a home, according to TBI. Police quickly discovered that the victim's brother, 45-year-old Joshua Metcalf, was responsible.
Officials were able to charge Metcalf with second-degree murder. He is currently in the Hancock County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
