Authorities said deputies were searching for Dilan McFall, 21. He is described as a white man standing around 5'9" tall and weighing around 145 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. According to a release from GCSO, he was wanted for questioning as part of the homicide investigation.
It said people should also be vigilant of a 2017 white Ford Escape with a license plate reading "214-BJTF."
GCSO said at around 2:17 p.m. authorities received a call about a body lying beside a road. When they arrived, deputies said the person was dead. Later, they said someone saw a white vehicle leave the area "at a high rate of speed" before finding the body.
They identified the body as that of Grace E. Miller, 21, from Rutledge. GCSO also said Miller was an acquaintance of McFall's.
Anyone who sees McFall or the car should not approach either of them. GCSO also said other people could be in the car. GCSO said they should call 911 or Grainger County dispatchers by calling 865-828-3337.
