KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An East Tennessee man who formerly worked for the Y-12 nuclear weapons plant as an information tech administrator faces more than 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges in Knoxville.
Dock Edward Hoilman was sentenced Friday to 151 months by U.S. District Court Judge Katherine A. Crytzer. After his prison time, the 64-year-old Hoilman faces 10 years on supervised release.
Hoilman pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. Three other counts in an indictment filed against him were dismissed.
He formerly worked for Y-12 as a systems administrator senior specialist and had "top secret clearance," according to the government. His duties included cyber vulnerability assessment, patching and penetration testing, according to federal court records. His job allowed him to work from his Kingston home, court records state.
Authorities allege he used a KIK account in 2022 to access and send child porn videos. In August 2022, authorities executed a search warrant at his home, and the search revealed that he had 14 images and 25 videos of child porn, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
