KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A former Knox County teacher was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to asking two minor boys to engage in sexual conduct online, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice.

The release said Zachariah Luaie Albaba, 33, lives in Rocky Top, Tennessee. It said he pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to produce child pornography and producing child pornography after he contacted two minors through an online, real-time video chat service. Authorities videos of Albaba's communications with the boys were found on his phone.

In one video, authorities said he asked a child to engage in sexual conduct and promised he would do the same. One child does engage in sexual conduct, but the other does not, the release said.

After his incarceration, Albaba will be on supervised release for his lifetime and need to register with state sex offender registries.
