MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. — A convicted felon from Etowah is facing three counts of attempted murder among others after shots were fired into a woman’s car on Wednesday night, according to the McMinn County sheriff.

Deputies responded to Highway 39 E near Englewood on reports of shots fired into a family's vehicle. The mother, Flor Antonia Guznam, reported that she was pulling into her driveway with her 23-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter in the car when they heard several shots, the right rear window shattered and something struck her arm.

MCSO then met witnesses who said they heard gunshots and saw someone either riding a bike or fleeing the scene in what appeared to be a grey Nissan pickup truck.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Guzman recently ended a relationship with a coworker, Keith Jackson. She said Jackson had previously damaged her car and acted in a threatening way toward her when she tried to break things off.

MCSO eventually found the truck that was described on County Road. They then noticed a loaded handgun in Jackson's truck and arrested him.

Jackson is also facing felony reckless endangerment and possessing a firearm while committing a dangerous felony charges. He was booked in the McMinn County Jail on a $262,000 bond.
