KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The man behind the wheel in a fatal head-on crash last year on Chapman Highway is now facing vehicular homicide and DUI charges.
In April 2019, investigators said Isaac Lynn was intoxicated behind the wheel when he crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into an SUV driven by 48-year-old Donnie Surber.
Surber was killed in the crash and Lynn was injured.
This January, the Knox County grand jury heard evidence in the crash and determined there was enough evidence to charge Lynn with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.
Lynn has been arrested and is being held in the Knox County jail.
