CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. — A 25-year-old man from Fairfield Glade is in jail for abusing a baby, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
On Dec. 16, 2023, CCSO was notified by the Department of Children's Services about a baby that was sent to a children's hospital in Knoxville for injuries. An investigation later found Curtis Hood had committed aggravated child abuse on a minor child, CCSO said.
A grand jury indictment was handed down and Hood was arrested Thursday. He has since been booked in the Cumberland County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Hood's court date is scheduled for April 5.
