CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said two people were found dead on Thursday after deputies and investigators responded to a Lake Tansi home.
According to a release from authorities, the deputies went to the home at around 10:13 p.m. Central Time. It said the Lake Tansi Security Office got a call for a welfare check at 5029 Shoshone Loop. When workers from the office arrived at the home, the release said they found the two people dead.
Deputies and investigators then responded to the home. The sheriff's office said they were identified as Gary Agopsowicz, 56, and Angela Fifelski, 56. The two were married, and the sheriff's office said both had gunshot wounds.
The investigation into their deaths was ongoing as of Friday afternoon, and investigators were working to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Both were sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
The sheriff's office also said there was no threat to public safety.
