CCSO: Reward offered for information about two 'intentionally set' fires in Claiborne County

CCSO said a $10,000 reward was being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for setting the fires.

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office said tipsters could get $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for setting two fires in Claiborne County.

The sheriff's office said both fires were in the Jones Ridge area, and the first incident happened on Sept. 19, 2023, during the late-night hours. Authorities said a barn and the items inside it were burned and totally destroyed.

CCSO said the second incident happened overnight on Nov. 2, into the early morning hours of Nov. 3. According to a release, cut hay inside a field was burned and totally destroyed.

The $10,000 reward is being offered by the property owners in the cases. Anyone with information about the fires should call CCSO's Criminal Investigations Division at 423-626-2501.
