Police caught a bank robber following a chase and motocycle crash.
Cookeville police say 43-year-old Howard L. Bohannon was arrested Thursday on outstanding Failure to Appear warrant. He is also being held for the FBI investigation into the bank robbery.
Officers responded to a robbery at the Putnam First Mercantile Bank on 10th Street.
Bohannon drove off on a motorcycle. Nearby officers tried to stop a motorcycle from leaving the area.
Bohannon sped up and a short chase began. The driver's jacket became tangled in the motorcycle's rear wheel, causing him to wreck on Fisk Road at 6th Street.
Police chased Bohannon on foot, but soon apprehended him.
