KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Authorities are searching for a man suspected in at least seven theft cases across Knoxville, according to the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers.
According to a post on social media by the Crime Stoppers group, all of the theft cases involved the man trying to steal alcohol or cigarettes, or both. All cases were in the Knoxville area.
The videos shared on social media show him approaching cashiers and appearing to ask to check out items, before snatching the items and bolting out of the door. The group said it first reported about the suspect on Jan. 17.
