KCSO: Woman faces murder charge after admitting to shooting man in head in Knox County apartment, victim identified

Authorities said Alexandria Pastor-Light, 29, admitted to shooting a person in the face after making him take his clothes off in a bedroom.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox County authorities said a woman was accused of fatally shooting a man in the head in an apartment on Sunday and faces a first-degree murder charge.

In a police report, the Knox County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to an apartment complex on Oak Valley Drive after the shooting. The report said authorities found the 31-year-old victim with a gunshot wound and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

On Tuesday, the Knox County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as John Nicholas Belcastro Jr. The sheriff's office said deputies responded at around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Authorities said they interviewed Alexandria Pastor-Light, 29, who admitted to shooting the victim in the head. The report said she made him take off his clothes in the bedroom before shooting him.

She was taken into custody. She has a court appearance Wednesday, according to court records.
