CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — On Wednesday, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office was investigating multiple narcotic complaints in the Woolridge area.

While investigating, deputies saw a car speeding with an expired registration. After initiating a traffic stop, deputies met 35-year-old Luke Thomas Williams, the driver, and passenger Randy Huddleston, 60.

A trained and certified K-9, Daisy, was deployed to conduct an air sniff around the car. During the sniff, K-9 Daisy responded to the presence of an illicit drug odor, CCSO said.

While CCSO deputies talked with Williams and Huddleston, they found a bag of methamphetamine that they believed was tossed from the car by one of the individuals.

Both Williams and Huddleston denied having possessed or discarded the meth. They were then arrested and taken to the Campbell County Jail.

The next day, authorities executed a search warrant for Williams' home.

During the search, a 3-year-old child was removed from the home due to evidence found there and the intoxicated mother, Nephateria Williams, 27. Deputies also found three women inside the home, who were later cited for possession of controlled substances.

Many amounts of heroin, methamphetamine, methadone and drug paraphernalia were recovered along with multiple firearms and cash. Nephateria also tried to destroy evidence during the search, CCSO said. She was arrested and taken to the Campbell County Jail.

According to CCSO, Luke has been charged with possession of Schedule ll controlled substance for resale, tampering with evidence, speeding, violation of registration law and violation of financial responsibility law.

Huddleston has been charged with possession of Schedule ll controlled substance for resale and tampering with evidence.

Nephateria Williams has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Schedule Vl for resale, tampering with evidence, child abuse and neglect and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Further charges are pending on Luke and Nephateria Williams, CCSO said.
