As temperatures continue to drop this weekend, KFD shared a few reminders about space heaters:

  1. Keep heaters at least three feet away from flammable materials
  2. Never leave space heaters unattended
  3. Plug heaters directly into an outlet and do not use extension cords

Any residents of a single-family home in the city of Knoxville can call 311 to request a free smoke alarm installation.
