BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — McGhee Tyson Airport announced Wednesday that Allegiant Airlines will have more direct flight options for East Tennessee travelers starting this week.
The airline will fly twice weekly to Pittsburgh and Baltimore/Washington D.C. starting May 17, as well as to Denver starting May 21. Destin is also on the list of direct destinations, with 3 weekly flights out of TYS starting May 16.

The new flights to Pittsburgh alone are expected to bring nearly 4,500 passengers to East Tennessee each year, according to Allegiant.
To celebrate the new Denver route, the airline will have fares as low as $69 each way on the route-- as long as you purchase your flight between January 16 and August 13 of this year.
