KODAK, Tenn. — A company in Kodak is getting national attention after making a list showcasing the country's fastest-growing businesses.
KaTom Restaurant Supply landed at 3,506th place on the Inc. 5000 list this year. During the pandemic, the company sold equipment to health care facilities. At the time, many similar companies were closing down stopping business after supply chain interruptions.
"There were those that were going ahead and planning for the future. You can't stay closed forever, thank goodness for that," said Patricia Bible, the company's CEO. "You have hospitals, nursing homes, health care facilities that needed new equipment immediately because they were just overwhelmed. And the food process of it did not stop. Every patient needed a meal three times a day."
Officials with Inc. 5000 said the business grew 98% in 2021.
It is located in Sevier County and sells commercial refrigerators, cooking equipment, commercial food processors, cleaning equipment, commercial carts and serval other kinds of supplies businesses would need.
