Moira Kaye has been a familiar face on television screens across East Tennessee, and after more than 30 years with WBIR, she's signing off the air.
Friday, May 29 will be Moira's last day on WBIR and Mornings with Fox 43. She said her decision to retire was difficult, but she has decided to leave the anchor desk to be closer to her family.
Although we will miss Moira's gracious personality, kind spirit, expertise and dedication, we're excited about this next chapter in her life.
Moira joined WBIR as an intern in 1984. From there she quickly climbed the ranks from intern, to weather, to reporter, to anchor. During this time, she has held many responsibilities, including hosting Style, Live at 5 at 4, 10News at Noon, and Mornings with Fox 43.
Most recently, Moira has spent four years alongside her best friend and co-anchor Abby Ham on Mornings with Fox 43. Side-by-side they'll give viewers a May to remember, ending with Moira's last newscast on Friday, May 29 from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. on WTNZ.
