(WBIR) One of pop's brightest stars, Katy Perry, took a trip to Dollywood on Thursday and sang nothing but praises for the East Tennessee theme park.

While she was there, Katy and her dancers rode the Wild Eagle, the Tennessee Tornado, and Thunderhead. She even stayed to watch the fireworks.

While in the park, the pop princess ate at Aunt Granny's buffet. Perry tweeted she "tore up" Dollywood's turkey legs and barbecue.

An hour later, she gave a shout out to Dolly Parton, tweeting a link to a video of her and Kacey Musgraves singing Dolly's hit, "Here You Come Again."

The pop star said while growing up, she was a Dolly Parton fan.

In Thursday's tweet, Perry said on Friday she'll tweet out a gallery of all the fun she had at Dollywood.

A spokesperson from Dollywood said Katy visited the area specifically to go to Dollywood. She stopped on her way to Nashville where she performing a concert Friday night. The park did know ahead of time that Perry was visiting the park, but she wanted to be treated like a regular guest with no special treatment.
