KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Prepare for a weekend full of art, music, history, food and fun celebrating Dolly Parton! The fourth annual Rhinestone Fest will be on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
Formerly known as Dolly Fest, the annual Dolly-themed festival encompasses artists and musicians that Dolly has inspired throughout her career.
A Main Stage event on Saturday will feature the Rhinestone Market, curated by the Old City Market, Dolly music, Dolly impersonators, Dolly costume contests and other activities. Various locations in and around the Old City will host shows, performances, and Dolly-themed food and drink specials.
According to the Old City's website, Rhinestone Fest was created to celebrate Dolly and invite people to experience the unique and vibrant Old City community. Guests can expect First Friday activities to include art shows, live music and Dolly movie screenings.
Saturday’s Rhinestone Market and Main Stage event on Jackson Avenue will feature live music and interactive activities such as a Dolly costume contest, a talent show and other local performers. It will highlight local and regional artists and makers displaying their Dolly-themed creations.
Restaurants, bars and retail shops will also feature specials throughout the weekend.
