KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville music festival is having fun with this weekend's "most binge-able documentary".
You may remember the disastrous 'Fyre Festival' in 2017. Well, it didn't really happen. It promised a luxurious weekend in the Bahamas but turned into a catastrophe.
This past weekend, two new documentaries reminded us that it all started with a cryptic orange square and now a Knoxville music festival, Sunset on Central, is bringing it back.
"There was the one little uneasiness that I hope that we're not tempting fate by evoking the failed 'Fyre Fest', but I think we'll be okay," Kent Oglesby, the organizer of Sunset on Central, said.
There's no need for fans to stress, organizers say Sunset on Central will be the opposite of Fyre.
The free concert series is going into its fourth year. This summer, it will have stages at ShultzBrau, Central Filling Station, and Elkmont Exchange.
Organizers don't have a lineup out yet but they've set the date for Aug. 24 and said it will be from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
