KARM to host grand opening event for annual Christmas store on Thursday

The Christmas store offers ornaments, themed mugs, Nativity scenes and plenty of Christmas trees to choose from.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Christmas is more than three months away, but Knox Area Rescue Ministries is already getting into the holiday spirit.

It said it would host a grand opening for its annual Christmas store on Thursday at 12 p.m. The event will be at the store on Clinton Highway. It is part of a 14-year tradition, during which KARM collects Christmas-related donations and displays them in a large holiday-themed store.

At the store, people can find plenty of Christmas trees to decorate their homes, along with trinkets and traditional holiday decorations. KARM said it would offer new and vintage items from its Christmas store.

The facility is around 40,000 square feet large, according to KARM. The store's operating hours will be from 9 a.m. through 9 p.m., according to its website. The store is located at 5425 Clinton Highway in Knoxville.
