TENNESSEE, USA — Social distancing and isolating are hard, even for the most introverted among us.
While these precautions are so important to protect ourselves and those around us amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still social beings at the end of the day who need to interact with others.
Sure, phone calls and texts can fill the void, but sometimes it really helps to see another person's face.
We want to help you send the love to the people you miss most during this time of social distancing and self-quarantine.
Who knows? Your message just might end up on channel 10 too.
Here is what you need to do:
- Shoot a 15-second video of yourself sending a message to someone you miss. It can be anything from just saying hi to wishing someone a happy birthday.
- Post the video on your own social media using the hashtag, #SendTheLove, and tagging @wbir. Feel free to tag the person you're trying to reach as well.
- Email it to us at 10listens@wbir.com for a chance for your message to be shared on air.
We know times are hard right now so let's combat the stress and uncertainty with something that's straight from the heart.
