LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Loudon County Sheriff's Office has given back to the community during the holidays in a big way.
Over the last several months, LCSO took applications for the annual Toys for Tots event that delivers gifts to families for Christmas in Loudon County, according to officials.
LCSO received donations from multiple organizations within Loudon County and the East Tennessee area to help build gift bags for families. After receiving the gifts, LCSO employees and trustees from the Detention Center build gift bags for the families.
LCSO said over 100 families received gifts for the Christmas season.
The week before Christmas, LCSO held a delivery day at the Loudon County Justice Center for families to stop by and pick up their toys.
"Thank you... to the numerous community members for their... donations," LCSO said. "It’s been a generous year for the Toys for Tots Program and we are thankful to everyone who made it successful."
