LOUISVILLE, Tenn. — On Saturday, Knox County Sheriff's Office made a special birthday delivery to Lucas Hembree, a Blount County boy diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a rare genetic condition.
Lucas received his diagnosis at age three and now he is about to be a teenager on March 2.
Sheriff Tom Spangler and several officers accompanied by their furry K-9s Thor, Zoli and Natan made a special delivery to the Hembree home.
They gave him a KCSO patch, challenge coin, pin, T-shirt and a card signed by the entire K-9 unit.
