KINGSTON SPRINGS, Tenn. — A donation was recently made to the Kingston Springs Police Department K-9 Unit to purchase a ballistic/stab-resistant vest for one of their dogs, Luca.
According to Kingston Police, the donor requested the vest be presented in the name of fallen Knox County Sheriff's Office Deputy Tucker Blakely.
Blakely was shot and killed in the line of duty after responding to a domestic situation in West Knox County in October 2023. He was selected as a candidate for KCSO's K-9 course and placed with K-9 ENOCH two days before being killed.
KSPD said they take great pride in accepting the generous donation for K-9 Luca in memory of Deputy Blakely.
