KNOXVILLE — Fountain City finally has a stand-alone Starbucks to call its own nearly a year and a half after its initial arrival plans were announced.
The Starbucks opened Thursday after transforming the old Dean's Bakery and Restaurant that once occupied that space.
The plan was originally announced in February 2017 for a Spring 2017 opening, but the location sat dormant for many months and had many wondering if the plan had been scrapped.
That obviously ended up not being the case, and now people in northeast Knoxville can enjoy their PSL without needing to get out of the car.
The location is on Old Broadway near the North Broadway/I-640 interchanges.
