For decades we used to see him right here at the end of every newscast, but Ken Schwall retired from WBIR last year after more than three decades on the air.
We still miss him, so as part of our legend series, John Becker sat down with Ken to catch up during one of his daily rituals-- coffee.
The two talked about the benefits of retiring (no paycheck, but you don't have to wear a tie!) but Ken admitted he did miss the fun of being in the newsroom.
The conversation is priceless, and reading it won't do it justice, so click the video to watch!
Leading up to the 60th anniversary of WBIR, we're featuring Channel 10 legends, people who helped make this station what is today.
And check our previous legends stories, on Bill Williams, Moira Kaye, and Bill Landry.
