KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It's easy for Eulalia to get lost in her artwork.
The 11-year-old loves to draw butterflies and flowers.
As one of three children, she spends a lot of time on her own.
"At my house my brother never likes to play because he's older than me and my sister, she's little," said Eulalia.
Eulalia is one of more than 100 children on the waiting list for a mentor at Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, but there are not enough volunteers.
The 5th grader is already planning activities to do with her big sister.
"Draw, color and play with her, play board games," she said.
Eulalia wants to be a nurse for children someday.
"To help kids," she said.
Until then, she is picturing her future with someone she can look up to.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee offers site-based mentoring programs at nearly 40 public schools in East Tennessee.
