Knox County Senior Centers put up Angel Trees

Some seniors without family may not get many Christmas gifts -- but with these Angel Trees, people can help.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Angel Tree programs don't just help children -- they can help seniors, too.

The non-profit Community Action Committee Office on Aging matches senior citizens with generous donors for the holidays.

This is the second year for this particular Angel Tree program

You can find Angel Trees in the lobbies of all Knox County Senior Centers: Carter, Corryton, Halls, Karns, South Knoxville, Frank R. Strang and John T. O'Connor.

To give a gift, just choose an ornament -- and holiday wish -- from the tree. Then return them in gift bags to the senior center before December 5.

The program help seniors who would otherwise not have much of a holiday season.
