Guardians for Garrett Kickball Tourney is Saturday August 18

Prizes go to the best team uniform, tournament winners, and the team that raises the most money for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.

An annual kickball tournament is named for Garrett Jablonski. He is a 9 year old boy with a rare genetic condition called MPS III or Sanfilippo Syndrome.

Even as his motor skills deteriorate he still has a big smile.

Guardians for Garrett Kickball Tournament is set for Saturday August 18 at 9:00 at Rocky Hill Ballfields. The address is 7633 Ali Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919.

All proceeds will be donated to the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit founded by Glenn and Cara O'Neill. Their 8-year-old daughter, Eliza, was diagnosed at the age of four. It has become their mission to advocate for and fund research directed towards a cure and treatment options for patients with Sanfilippo Syndrome.

The event include an adult tournament along with a 12 and under kids tourney.

It is a single elimination tournament with a guarantee of at least two games.

Teams should have a creatively themed "uniform" (the crazier the better) and be able to raise a minimum of $250, $25 per player to enter the tournament.

Prizes go to the best team uniform, tournament winners, and the team that raises the most money for Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.

Register no later than August 11th to allow time to order t-shirts and set the bracket. You will not be guaranteed a t-shirt after that date.
