KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Strawberry Dulce de Leche Cake

Yellow cake ingredients:
1 1/2 yellow Duncan Hines Cake Mix
1 small instant vanilla pudding
5 eggs
3/4 c oil
2 cups buttermilk
Mix all. Bake at 350' for 22 minutes or until golden. Cool completely.
Buttercream ingredients:
4 sticks of butter softened
8 cups powered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
Cream butter, add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time. Add vanilla and heavy whipping cream.
Other ingredients:
1 qt strawberries
1 (13oz.) can Dulce de Leche, melted
White chocolate for garnish
Assemble Cake:
Place the first layer on your cake plate, ice with buttercream, then 1/3 of Caramel, then cover with sliced strawberries. Repeat. Then, Ice entire cake with buttercream. Melt the remaining 1/3 caramel until desired consistency and pour over cake. With the back of a spoon do figure eights over the cake and it will mix the buttercream with the caramel. Decorate with strawberries and shaved white chocolate.
