KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Hip-hop superstars Nelly and Ashanti will play Food City Center this spring.
The pair will headline the "Spin The Block" concert on April 27, and the show also features Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Jan. 19 through Ticketmaster.
Both Nelly and Ashanti scored chart topping hits in the early 2000s and have continued to make music since.
Nelly's won three Grammys in his career, for singles "Grillz," "Shake Ya Tailfeather" and "Dilemma." He's also been featured on country singles, like "Cruise," his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, along with his duet "Over And Over" with Tim McGraw.
Ashanti won a Grammy in 2003 for the Best Contemporary R&B Album. She is the first female artist to have two singles in the first and second positions on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2002 her feature on Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and her feature on rapper Fat Joe's single, "What's Luv" held the top two spots on the chart.
Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony won a Grammy in the late 1990s for the single, "Tha Crossroads." That single was a tribute to rapper Eazy-E, the owner of the record label the group was signed to and late member of rap group N.W.A.
