KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (7/17): Morgan Wallen announced a second concert date for his performance at Neyland Stadium.
The second date has been scheduled for Friday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the second show go on sale Thursday, July 18 at 11 a.m. EST, according to the Food City Center.
The last artist to perform in Neyland Stadium was Garth Brooks in November 2019. He performed to a record 84,846 fans. But Wallen is not the first artist to ever play two nights at Neyland Stadium.
The Jackson 5 played three nights as part of their Victory Tour. The Jacksons made a stop in the Scruffy City in 1984, where over three nights almost 150,000 fans packed into Neyland to witness the music.

Morgan Wallen is coming home to Rocky Top in September.
He will perform at Neyland Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 22. The Knoxville native's performance is part of his "One Night At A Time" Tour.
"I'm coming home," Wallen said. “I’ve had the honor of playing in a lot of college, MLB and NFL stadiums the past two years, but getting to play to my hometown at Neyland Stadium, nothing tops this for a boy from East Tennessee.”
A portion of every ticket sold is donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit that supports youth programs in the areas of sports and music. According to the organization, they are also committed to helping communities in times of crisis, ensuring access to food, critical supplies and more.
The nonprofit recently donated $100,000 to the Jefferson City community to improve and renovate two local baseball fields. With $80,000 going toward Roy Harmon Field via the City Parks Department and $20,000 toward New Market Field via Jefferson City Little League, the renovations include new infields, bases, dugouts, press boxes, backstop padding, fencing and more, according to a release.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 11 a.m. EST on Ticketmaster.
