Elephants, acrobats and other wild wonders took over the Knoxville Civic Coliseum on Thursday.
The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey super circus took over putting on a show for all ages.
Some people gathered outside before the show to protest the circus' treatment of animals, but hundreds of people seemed to enjoy the show.
The circus treated audience members to a strongman competition and some dogs racing ponies.
The circus runs through Sunday at 5 p.m.
