KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — People will have the chance Friday to start their weekend with a trip to one of Knoxville's most notable historic sites, where they can sit back and watch a movie.

Marble Springs State Historic Site is hosting a free screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on Friday at 8 p.m., as part of the Movies at the Museums series. The movie series is sponsored by Borderland Tees, a custom t-shirt store in South Knoxville.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Attendees are also encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and other items to make their visit more comfortable. Concessions will be available at Marble Springs.

On Sept. 6, the movie series stopped by the Mabry-Hazen House for a showing of The Mummy. It is also expected to stop by the historic Ramsey House and the Blount Mansion for free movie showings on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27.
