Knoxville 'Men Wear Pink' group hosting appreciation event as part of campaign to end breast cancer

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A group that brings men together to advocate for an end to breast cancer in conjunction with the American Cancer Society hosted an event Wednesday evening to celebrate the advocates' efforts.

The Men Wear Pink Ambassador Appreciation Event kicked off at 6 p.m. and brought people together with music, food and libations. The group also offered participants a chance to relax by a fire pit or enjoy a jam session with local musicians. The event also featured a silent auction and raffle.

Men Wear Pink is an effort by the American Cancer Society to bring together community leaders and raise money for breast cancer research and health equity. Across the U.S., the effort has raised around $5.1 million.
