KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Families across Knoxville are invited to go to World's Fair Park on Saturday afternoon to kick off the summer with plenty of fun and excitement for children.
"Knoxville's Largest Kids' Party" is meant to be a fun way for families to spend time together after the end of the school year. Organizers said it will include activities like face painting, an obstacle course, a water slide, a foam zone and a petting zoo. There will also be entertainment, food and more, organizers said.
Families can also get a swag bag from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. A large variety of vendors will be at the event, including food vendors. The Party Pals Parade will also kick off at 12 p.m., featuring a variety of mascots and children's characters.
It costs $10 to join in the fun, with some of the revenue benefiting Childhelp Tennessee. Both adults and children must buy a ticket. It starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. and parents are encouraged to bring a swimsuit for their children.
