KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra is bringing in the holiday spirit with its array of woodwind, brass and string instruments. However, it isn't hosting a usual holiday concert.
Audiences are invited to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium on Saturday for a screening of Home Alone, the classic holiday film that follows the hijinks of a young boy as he thwarts a duo of clumsy bandits who try to rob his home. However, people will have the chance to experience the move in an entirely new way.
The orchestra will perform the movie's score live while the film is projected on the big screen. It was written by John Williams, a legendary composer whose work on Home Alone helped lead it to an Academy nomination for Best Original Score.
The event is on Saturday, Nov. 23, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online.
